The Bail Out and Your Money

This was past on to me and I thought I'd pass it on to you.

I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG.
 
Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to America in a We Deserve It Dividend.
 
To make the math simple, let's assume there are 200,000,000 bonafide U.S. Citizens 18+.

Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, woman and child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and up..
 
So divide 200 million adults 18+  into $85 billon that equals $425,000.00.
 
My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We Deserve It Dividend.
 
Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So let's assume a tax rate of 30%.
 
Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes. That sends $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam.
 
But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their pocket. A husband and wife has $595,000.00.
 
What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your family?

Pay off your mortgage – housing crisis solved.

Repay college loans – what a great boost to new grads

Put away money for college – it'll be there

Save in a bank – create money to loan to entrepreneurs.

Buy a new car – create jobs

Invest in the market – capital drives growth

Pay for your parent's medical insurance – health care improves

Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean – or else
 
Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+  including the folks who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other company that is cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed Forces.
 
If we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really do it...instead of trickling out a puny $1000.00 ( "vote buy" ) economic incentive that is being proposed by one of our candidates for President.
 
If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's bail out every adult U S Citizen 18+!
 
As for AIG – liquidate it.

Sell off its parts. Let American General go back to being American General. Sell off the real estate. Let the private sector bargain hunters cut it up and clean it up.
 
Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't.
 
Sure it's a crazy idea that can "never work."
 
But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party!
 
How do you spell Economic Boom?
 
I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the $85 Billion We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG or in Washington DC.

And remember, The Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion because $25.5 Billion is returned instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam.

I love this post and the theory behind it!  Too bad the math isn't good (it's $425 per person).  And why does this happen?  It's because calculators typically don't HAVE THAT MANY DANG ZEROS!  This whole bail out is INSANE! 
#1.  Joe and Mrs Joe Blow go to the bank to get a loan for a house.  The lender gives them a loan for far more than they can afford simply because he thinks they'll be moving somewhere else within the national average time for people to stay in their homes, and it's supposedly going to appreciate enough in that time to cover the inflated mortgage (of which he made extra commission for).  He signs them up for an "interest only" mortgage which is cool until they sell.   OOPS appreciation didn't happen. They paid too much. Can't afford to cover the difference.
#2.  This one is what bugs the dickens out of me... it's called "Short selling" stocks on the stock market.   Let's say your momma has a stock portfolio and intends to only sit this economic farces out.  No sells, no buys.  But you think one of her stocks (let's say it's worth $30/share for 100 shares) is about to drop so you can legally "borrow" her stock for $3000 on paper only and SELL IT on paper, then buy it back when it drops, say for $25/share.  You give back the 100 shares to momma and you just pocketed $500.  They claim that this practice helps to drive DOWN the stock market.  This has been done with the big brokerage firms that we're now worrying about?  I DON"T THINK SO!  If they gambled, then accept the luck of the draw. And to the investor playing with money they don't even own? No  sympathy from me. 
I am SO against this bail out.... but don't know the solution!

The "bail out"??? exactly why did it cost us  all that money to give to international banking corps who screwed up in the first place then have ceo put in charge after either proving he is a liar or very incompetant.....paulson I will not capitalize those I disrespect but I am not immune to typos lol,

Today Derry brought it to our attention that obama actually didn't complete his inagural oath then I saw he had to redo it today in my online news but!!!!! and I'm sure Derry will point this out 2 morrow he still didn't say it right.....of the said United States.PeriodWhat the hell happened to United States of America???!!!!!!!!!gotta look n listen close to whats goin on here my friends!!!!I'll get back to this.

ok let me tie up what I said I 'd get back to I have heard much that obama can't produce an official birth cert.heard he went to supreme court,which is unheard of ...but he did n now its dropped he's president and we cant get a drivers license w/o an official birth cert!!!! Hi all again ! I am the bringer of doom and gloom we all are (tho i have never voted) I wholeheartedly wanted to believe in this election!!!!!!!!!!!!!I saw the network broadcast and that is what convinced me it was....what it was a damn show ,to appease an uneasy public,especially those of African decent wow maybe US can"t afford to go to war in Africa,remember the appartied?since the 70s...kinda makes sence now as I can add my own Personal experience!!!!!Just after thanksgiving I met a man on the riverwalk in New Orleans,a white man who was here not just back from Africa,Kenya for the holidays he was back with his wife to escape the chaos "If Obama Lost The Election" no shi* I was told "it was known that rioting and whites especially americans would be shot"!!I quote this!!!!!!!I am still in amazement  I met this man but then again there is a reason for everything!!!!!ok life is a chess game,dont you think putting a man of how the hell do I say this w/o disrespect????!ok a man from a race that has been disrespected and captured and dragged over here by rich whites to this country who have rule over their own countries in Africa??where are we really??ok politics...Religion and politics do not go hand in hand it  begets if necessary hand to hand combat!!!We need none of this,we need Respect,and to realize there is enough for all of us on this planet.just look to your own .even if you have a black heart.I'm not talkin to the locals here..iam talkin to who is monitoring this due to "lmao!homeland security!there is enough for all!!I lived on the rez,I know what greed is, I know the definition of a .MICROCOSM it is actuall if applied  to people and government then religion can be separated and people can be who they are without judgement by their peers due to political views!!
