Action received $250k for dental and vision care...was suppose to go for a whole year for all of their counties...most went to Dawson county..and was gone within DAYS....must say something about the need here....

If you can't access IHS (Indian Health Services) up on the rez and you work gas station/grocery clerk jobs (and there will be more of a need for those types of jobs as more people come to the area for the big dollar oil work)...and you can't afford the big monthly payments for insurance (after all, you have to pay rent, buy heat and food)....what solutions can we come up with to keep our community healthy?

GMC now requires upfront payment for clinic services and the health department doesn't  "treat"....solutions not gripes please!!!

True in some cases...but not most....
In Glendive in the last few months there is now a community meal available  about every other  night of the week provided by churches in addition to the foodbank...I was astounded to see how much one could make and still get foodstamps (now called SNAP)...if 250K can be used in a matter of days for medical care, how many people didn't bother trying...and how many people miss workdays because they have issues otherwise easily treated by healthcare?...I'm not suggesting in anyway a "public option"...but I'm wondering why we tout so many medical missions to other countries when the need is so great here..right here in eastern Montana and Glendive?
